Safety is number one when it comes to Tuff Truck racing or any other kind of Racing. Below you'll find some different Rules and Regs for some of the different outfits we race with.
 CANADIAN TUFF TRUCK ASSOCIATION RULES
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1999
The Tuff Truck track will consist of different types of obstacles designed to test the limits of both vehicle and driver. Fastest time emerges victorious, but a winner is anyone who doesn't have their vehicle towed off the course.
The Event Director has the authority to make decisions that include every facet of any kind in connection with the track, conduct of the race, competition, behavior of the contestant and shall include the rights to suspend, bar, expel, or disqualify from the meet without liability of any kind.
ELIGIBILITY OF CONTESTANT AND VEHICLE OPERATION
1. All drivers must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's licence.
2. Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times.
3. A driver, crew member, or qualified person must be seated behind the steering wheel and in control of the vehicle at all times the vehicle's engine is running while on the premises, including the pit area as well as on the track.
4. All contestants and pit crew members must be clean, neatly and professionally attired at all times when appearing in public. The show is slated to look as professional as possible. Your appearance should reflect this image. A driving suit, overalls, or matching long sleeve shirt and pants are recommended. Today with all the possibilities of accessory shops, stitching companies, work clothing stores, etc., there is no excuse for an unsatisfactory appearance. All these items can be acquired very economically.
5. The appearance of your vehicle is up to you. You are not required to paint it, although several people are doing just that. Lettering, graphics, decals, etc. are up to you. However, pictures, wording, etc. should not be offensive and will not be tolerated. "Cute" nicknames, slogans, artwork, etc. can be clever but please do not let your entry become a political statement, for any cause whatsoever. This is a motorsport show, we need all the help and publicity we can get as well. Let's keep it that way.
6. If any driver or his/her crew member is determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating agent of any kind, his/her vehicle will not compete for the duration of the event. Any driver or pit crew member found on or around the track pit area with an intoxicant will forfeit winnings and points from that event, and will be suspended indefinitely.
7. Performance Promotions Ltd. reserves the right to request alcohol or drug tests to be done on any participant.
8. All contestants are to comply with the local fire marshal's rules and regulations. Failure to do so will be grounds for disqualification and removal of the contestant and his/her vehicle from the premises.

The driver of the vehicle in question is the only individual allowed to address a dispute with an official in regard to a decision. Questioning of a track official by a pit crew member, car owner, spouse, child or other individual associated with the racer in any way could result in the disqualification of that racer for not less than the remainder of the weekend.
10. A speed limit of 5 MPH must be maintained in all non-competition areas.
11. Disposal of oil/fuel related products must be done in an environmentally safe manner.
12. The event director has the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle not operated in a safe manner.
